Job summary

Insight Global in Mirabel, QC is seeking a Senior Stress Engineer for a permanent position based in Mirabel to lead structural analyses for commercial and military aerospace programs and to mentor junior engineers.

You will perform static, fatigue, and damage tolerance analyses using classical methods and FEA tools, ensure airworthiness compliance, and deliver reports while collaborating with cross‑disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 10 years in aerospace structural analyses.
• Expertise in static, fatigue and damage tolerance analyses.
• Experience with metallic and composite aircraft structures.
• Proficiency with finite element analysis (FEA) tools.
• Ability to validate designs and prepare analysis reports; leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural and stress analyses for aerospace programs.
• Lead certification activities and document engineering reports.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure designs meet performance, safety and cost objectives.
• Work with frames, skin, and stringers and other components.
