Job summary

Gestal in Mirabel, QC seeks a Senior Aerospace Structural Engineer with 10+ years of experience to design airframe structures and integrate complex systems. You will lead technical definitions, conduct trade studies, and drive certification activities in collaboration with suppliers and authorities.

You will coordinate across production, program offices, and support teams while leveraging CATIA V5 and ENOVIA PLM to ensure robust, manufacturable solutions in a fast-paced development environment.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (university or technologist level).
• At least 10 years of aerospace design experience, focusing on airframe structures and system integration.
• In-depth knowledge of aircraft structures and interfaces with integrated systems including design for manufacturing, assembly and maintainability.
• Mechanical drawing procedures and standards.
• Expert-level CATIA V5 and ENOVIA PLM proficiency.
• Knowledge of composites is a major asset.
• Autonomy and strong project management understanding.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
• French and English proficiency is a plus for collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the design, development, qualification, and certification of airframe structures and system installations for major program improvements.
• Contribute to major engineering development projects while respecting time, budget, and quality standards.
• Lead technical definition and trade‑off studies for structural and systems solutions to meet performance targets.
• Define and implement cutting‑edge technical solutions to resolve development issues.
• Participate in technical reviews with suppliers and certification authorities to meet aircraft design requirements.
• Liaise with production, customer support, program office, purchasing, and product planning to advance design efforts.
• Coordinate design activities with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
