Job summary

Canadian Red Cross in Canada is seeking a Senior Advisor – Workforce Deployment to strengthen workforce readiness and deployment across preparedness and response. You will guide planning, training, tools, and processes to improve deployment outcomes and service continuity.

Ideal candidates bring 6–9 years' experience and a degree in social sciences or related field, with English and French fluency, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6-9 years' experience and a 3-year college diploma or university degree in social sciences or related field.
• Graduate diploma/degree in related field may be required and/or a professional designation.
• Expertise in a specialized discipline or broad cross-functional experience with processes and units.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
• Ability to identify complex problems, analyze interrelated factors, assess risks, and develop solutions.
• Strong communication and influence skills to gather perspectives and reach consensus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the timely deployment of personnel across teams and locations, aligning capacity with operational needs.
• Serve as Workforce Deployment subject matter expert, providing strategic guidance and recommendations.
• Partner with leaders to identify workforce and service needs and develop practical solutions.
• Strengthen accountability through workforce planning, reporting, and policy compliance.
• Provide coaching, learning support, and mentorship to build workforce capability.
• Translate lessons learned into improvements for readiness and service delivery.
• Lead or contribute to projects and change initiatives to modernize deployment practices.
• Develop workforce planning tools and knowledge-sharing practices.
