Job summary

Nortera Foods Inc. is seeking a Senior Advisor to shape corporate communications and employer branding across Canada and the United States. You will partner with HR and leadership to align messaging, channels, and campaigns.

You will lead internal and external communications initiatives, manage branding materials, and oversee budgetary measures while collaborating with external agencies for strategic campaigns.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• University degree (communication, business administration or marketing).
• Perfectly bilingual French/English (communication across Canada and the United States).
• Experience and excellent project management skills.
• Excellent communication skills and oral and multimedia presentation skills.
• Great autonomy and spirit of initiative.
• Able to work on different projects simultaneously.
• Media relations skills.
• Ability to analyze complex situations and define communications strategies.
• Ability to build strong internal relationships.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Communications and Government Relations, the Senior Advisor in Communications and Employer Branding participates in the development and implementation of corporate communications strategies, is responsible for the employer branding program in collaboration with the Human Resources team and offers support to functional teams in their internal communications projects.

THE ROLE:

Participate in the development of the corporate communications strategy

• Strategy & Image: Co-develop the corporate communications strategy, Platform Management: participate in the development and deployment of internal and external channels (website, social media, intranet, displays, print).

Execute the internal corporate communications strategy

• Strategy & Consulting: Define internal communication axes with HR and managers to stimulate team commitment and mobilization.
• Content creation: Produce internal content and ensure consistency with external communication for Nortera’s needs.
• Employer Branding & Display: Develop, deploy and approve corporate display material (factories, employer branding) and visuals for one-off projects.
• Projects & Shop: Manage promotional items (recommendations, online store) and ensure budget monitoring.

Promote the employer brand externally

• Strategy & Employer Brand: participate in the definition of the Nortera employer brand, and align communication objectives with HR to maximize awareness and talent attraction;
• Management & Execution: Develop the deployment plan, manage the budget and measure the impact;
• Partnerships: Select and manage external consultants and agencies.

Manage Donations and Sponsorships

• Strategy & Image: Define and align the donations and sponsorships program with Nortera’s brand objectives;
• Partnerships & Visibility: Analyze requests, recommend opportunities and guarantee compliance with visibility agreements;
• Budget Management: Manage the annual budget envelope of the program;

Support the director, as needed and on an ad hoc basis, on the external corporate communications strategy.
