Job description

A career as a Senior Advisor Cash Management in the Commercial Banking team at National Bank involves leading the team in setting up and maintaining cash management products and services, including documentation preparation, completion, administration, and distribution. This role offers the opportunity to positively impact the organization by supporting the growth and retention of the banking centre's diversified client portfolio and their operational banking needs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Team Leadership & Collaboration: Lead Cash Management Specialists and collaborate with Banking Centre, Real Estate, and Equipment Finance teams to deliver comprehensive business banking solutions aligned with financial goals.
  2. Revenue Assurance & Process Oversight: Ensure accurate fee collection, oversee service fee programming, account reviews, and error prevention to minimize client reimbursements.
  3. Client Experience Management: Promote exceptional client service through timely and effective responses that reflect the bank’s brand promise.
  4. Operational Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to KYC/AML guidelines, manage audits, and oversee reporting and remedial projects.
  5. Marketing & CRM Engagement: Guide team involvement in marketing initiatives and ensure the consistent use of CRM tools for business development.
  6. Coaching & Development: Provide leadership and coaching to enhance team members’ administrative and client service capabilities.

Basic Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years banking experience, including 2 years in a business or support role.
  • Strong background in cash management, treasury, payments, merchant services, liquidity, and investment products.
  • Excellent knowledge of cash management products, services, fees, and renewal terms.
  • Understanding of Payment Canada Rules, deposit and investment products, and market knowledge.
  • Leadership skills to empower and role-model team performance, engagement, and career development.
