Job summary

Systemex is seeking a Senior Advisor, Asset Management & Operational Efficiency to lead strategic and technical efforts in complex industrial mandates. You will advise clients and internal teams, strengthening asset management practices and reducing risk in demanding industrial environments.

The role requires strong industry knowledge, leadership credibility, and the ability to influence decisions across mining, manufacturing, and heavy industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline required.
• P.Eng. designation or equivalent is an asset.
• 10+ years of industrial experience in mining, manufacturing, heavy industry, or asset‑intensive sectors.
• Proficiency in French is mandatory; English is also required for internal/external communication.

• Provide senior-level technical and strategic guidance to clients and project teams.
• Support development and implementation of asset management strategies and reliability programs.
• Participate in assessments, audits, studies, and client meetings.
• Identify risks and opportunities to improve performance and long-term value.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Advisor, Asset Management & Operational Efficiency to join our team and play a key strategic and technical leadership role in the delivery of complex industrial mandates. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams, helping organizations improve operational performance, strengthen asset management practices, reduce risk, and successfully execute major industrial initiatives.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced professional who brings strong industry knowledge, leadership credibility, and the ability to influence operational and strategic decisions in demanding industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide senior-level technical and strategic guidance to clients and project teams, acting as a trusted advisor on complex industrial mandates.
• Support the development and implementation of operational improvement initiatives, asset management strategies, reliability programs, commissioning plans, and other specialized mandates.
• Participate in assessments, audits, studies, technical reviews, workshops, client meetings, field reviews, and operational assessments.
• Identify risks, opportunities, and optimization initiatives across client operations to improve performance, reliability, and long‑term value.
• Contribute to the development of methodologies, standards, tools and best practices across projects and sectors.

• Mentor and coach junior and intermediate resources while contributing to multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Support business development activities, including proposal preparation, scope development, technical presentations, client & partner relationship management, identifying opportunities for additional services, and representing the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline; Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng.) or equivalent is considered an asset.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant industrial experience in mining, manufacturing, heavy industry, or other asset‑intensive sectors.
• Strong expertise in one or more of the following areas: asset management and reliability, operational readiness and commissioning, maintenance optimization, industrial operations, risk management, and process or operational performance.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence, advise, and collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in French is mandatory. Proficiency in English is also required in order to communicate effectively with internal clients and partners located outside of Quebec.
