Job summary

Aviva Canada is seeking top actuarial talent for the Large Accounts Pricing team. You will perform actuarial analysis on Property, Casualty and Auto products, support underwriters, and help achieve financial goals for commercial insurance.

You will conduct rate adequacy analyses, participate in pricing reviews for high-value portfolios, and quantify credit risk for accounts with large retentions. A hybrid work model and strong development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related quantitative discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of P&C actuarial experience.
• Completion of 4+ CAS exams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a collaborative environment.

The Opportunity

We are seeking top actuarial talent to join our dynamic and high performing Large Accounts Pricing team. The Large Accounts Pricing team is responsible for supporting the pricing and profitability of commercial accounts with premium above $2M at Aviva, as well as accounts involving complex or unique structures.

As part of the team, you will be responsible for providing actuarial analysis on Property, Casualty and Auto products and collaborating with underwriters and the leadership in these areas. The team plays a key role in supporting the financial goals of the commercial insurance business.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
• Minimum 3 years of P&C actuarial experience.

• Ability to effectively communicate analytical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• The salary band for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
