Job summary

WSP is seeking a senior acoustics, noise, and vibration leader to shape Ontario’s acoustical services and influence executive decisions. The role combines deep technical expertise with strategic leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration across client engagements and industry forums.

You will drive innovation, guide resource planning, and develop formal knowledge networks while advancing a national acoustics practice with impact.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering; Master’s or PhD preferred in acoustics or related discipline.
Ontario P.Eng designation is required.
20+ years in acoustics, noise, and vibration with 10+ years as a technical lead.
Expertise in environmental noise, building acoustics, and vibration analysis.
Proficient with CadnaA, Odeon, EASE, TNM, and STAMSON.
Strong knowledge of MECP guidelines and regulatory frameworks.
Leadership in high-visibility projects and long-term client relationships.

Responsibilities

Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to senior and executive leadership on acoustics, noise, and vibration.
Act as a thought leader and primary technical authority across the business.
Lead a specialized team and represent WSP in client engagements, regulatory discussions, and industry forums.
Drive innovation and contribute to precedent-setting, visible, strategic assignments.
Mentor employees at all levels to shape career growth and technical quality.
Anticipate business needs, secure resources, and champion change initiatives aligned with WSP’s vision.
Make high-impact decisions on complex technical and organizational issues.
Create and coordinate formal knowledge networks to elevate WSP’s acoustics practice.
