Job summary

WSP in Canada seeks an Early Professional, Acoustics and Vibrations Engineering to join our Ontario team. You will conduct field investigations, monitor noise and vibration, analyze data, and contribute to reports for infrastructure projects across Ontario.

This role blends field and office work, offering mentorship, exposure to environmental monitoring, and hands‑on experience with regulatory and client‑facing deliverables.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Technology, or a related discipline.
• Up to 3 years of relevant field experience, preferably within environmental consulting or monitoring.
• Awareness of acoustical monitoring, noise and vibration investigations, measurements, or modeling.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple assignments in fieldwork, analysis, and reporting.
• Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical documentation.
• Ability to work independently and with teams in varying field conditions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with practical solutions.
• Full G driver's license, clean abstract, vehicle access; local travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field investigations and monitoring programs for noise and vibration impact assessments.
• Review background documentation, analyze data, and prepare clear reports for projects.
• Support engineers in delivering acoustics, noise, and vibration studies from start to finish.
• Collect and organize field and analytical data for regulatory compliance and environmental stewardship.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop client-focused solutions.
• Travel throughout the Greater Toronto Area and occasionally to remote locations.
• Contribute to projects that enhance communities and environmental quality.
• Build technical expertise through mentorship and diverse project exposure.

Your Impact

• Full G driver's license, clean driver's abstract, and reliable access to a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage; willingness to travel locally and occasionally to remote project locations.
