JobsMedia.io is seeking an experienced Accounting Technician for our client's finance team in Canada. The role involves handling full bookkeeping, journal entries, and monthly reconciliations while contributing to the preparation of financial statements.

The ideal candidate has strong QuickBooks skills and experience with Acomba, NetSuite, and SAP is a plus. Bilingual French/English is desirable, and the position requires rigor, autonomy, and organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of accounting experience.
• DEC or AEC in Accounting (or equivalent).
• Proficient with QuickBooks, Acomba, NetSuite; SAP is an asset.
• Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.
• Rigorous, autonomous, and organized.

Responsibilities

• Perform full bookkeeping (accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations).
• Prepare journal entries and monthly reconciliations.
• Participate in the preparation of financial statements.
• Monitor government remittances (GST/QST, DAS).
• Collaborate with the finance team on accounting process improvements.

Main Responsibilities

• Perform full bookkeeping (accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations)
• Prepare journal entries and monthly reconciliations
• Participate in the preparation of financial statements
• Monitor government remittances (GST/QST, DAS)
• Collaborate with the finance team on the continuous improvement of accounting processes
• Support the preparation of year-end files for external auditors

Desired Profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Accounting
• DEC or AEC in Accounting (or equivalent experience)
• Excellent proficiency in QuickBooks
• Good knowledge of Acomba and NetSuite
• Knowledge of SAP is a significant asset
• Rigorous, autonomous, and organized
