Job description

We're an innovative and disruptive global skincare brand dedicated to developing high-quality, medical-grade skincare products trusted around the world. Our collaborative culture encourages innovation, continuous improvement, and teamwork. We believe the best ideas come from people who are curious, engaged, and passionate about making a difference—and we empower our employees to do just that.

About the Opportunity

If you're looking for an accounting role where every day brings new challenges, meaningful variety, and opportunities to make an impact, this could be the opportunity for you.

Reporting to our Global Corporate Controller, as our Senior Accounting Specialist, you'll become an integral member of our Global Finance team, supporting both our global operations and Canadian business. This is a role for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in producing accurate work, and is energized by finding better ways to do things. You'll have exposure to a wide range of accounting functions while working closely with colleagues across the organization.

We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, enjoys solving problems, and isn't afraid to ask questions. If you take ownership of your work, embrace change, and enjoy collaborating with others, you'll fit right in.

What You'll Do
Banking & Cash Management
  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations for both Canadian and U.S. dollar accounts.
  • Process EFTs, wire transfers, and other banking transactions.
  • Prepare monthly bank deposits.
  • Support cash management activities and maintain accurate banking records.
Accounts Payable
  • Process vendor invoices and employee expense reimbursements accurately and on time.
  • Prepare vendor payments through e-transfer, wire transfers, and other payment methods.
  • Coordinate corporate credit card payments and related accounting activities.
  • Process semi-monthly payroll through ADP, including salaries, commissions, and employee allowances.
  • Administer employee benefit programs, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Complete WSIB reporting and other payroll-related filings.
  • Respond to employee payroll and benefits inquiries while maintaining confidentiality.
Tax & Compliance
  • Prepare and file GST/HST, PST, QST, and other indirect tax returns.
  • Assist with customs duty reporting and related compliance requirements.
  • Record and reconcile intercompany transactions.
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis.
  • Assist with budgeting activities and communicate meaningful financial variances.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen internal controls, and enhance efficiency.
What You'll Bring

You'll be successful in this role if you combine strong technical accounting skills with curiosity, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Experience using accounting and payroll systems (Microsoft Dynamics GP and ADP are assets).
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • A collaborative approach and the confidence to build relationships across departments.
  • A willingness to embrace change, learn new systems, and continuously improve the way work gets done.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, or working toward a CPA designation would be considered an asset.
Location

This is a full-time remote position. While the role is primarily home-based, preference will be given to candidates residing in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), as occasional visits to our head office are required to retrieve mail and attend team meetings from time to time.

Why You'll Enjoy This Role

This position offers much more than traditional accounting responsibilities. You'll gain exposure to multiple areas of finance, work alongside an experienced leadership team, and have opportunities to contribute ideas that improve processes and support business decisions. Your work will have a visible impact, and you'll be encouraged to continue learning and expanding your skills.

  • Salary range: $65,000–$80,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and location
