Job summary

Sentrex Health Solutions in Markham, Ontario, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Finance team. You will support month-end close, external and internal reporting, and audits.

You will own master data management, prepare reconciliations, maintain sub-ledger to GL ties, assist FP&A with budget-to-actual analysis, and liaise with external auditors, banks and insurers. This role is hybrid and offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

  • CPA designation or in final stages of completion.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Solid understanding and experience with ERP systems, Sage 300 preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the organization's Sage expert user, providing day‑to‑day system support, troubleshooting, and best practice guidance to the finance team.
  • Own master data management, including creating and maintaining user accounts, items and price list maintenance, and chart of accounts maintenance.
  • Prepare monthly GL account reconciliations and schedules for Balance Sheet accounts.
  • Maintain subledger account reconciliations with the general ledger, investigate differences, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare monthly intercompany and clearing account reconciliations.
  • Participate in month‑end close and Financial Statements preparation.
  • Provide support to FP&A with budget‑to‑actual analysis and during budget preparation.
  • Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions.
  • Liaise with external auditors, banks, insurance companies, etc.
  • Additional duties as determined by your Manager.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Senior Accountant is an integral member of the finance team, providing support throughout month‑end closing, external and internal reporting, and audits.

A Day in the Life (What you will do here)

  • The anticipated base salary hiring range for this role is 80K to 100K annually. The final base salary will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, and internal equity.
