About The Role
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Senior Accounting Service Representative, you will be reporting directly to the Manager, Finance. Are you an experienced and motivated professional with exceptional communication skills and meticulous attention to detail, actively seeking new opportunities. We are looking for a team player who will play a vital role in supporting our growth. If you are ready to join a dynamic team, this could be a great role for you to consider!
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to effectively address inquiries and resolve issues.
- Prepare journal entries and support the month-end closing process through thorough investigation and documentation
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for stakeholders, ensuring clear and concise information delivery.
- Manage and follow up on various bank and merchant-related documentation.
- Administer bank portal access for business users and oversee internal compliance activities and reporting.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on various cash projects, offering specialized support and insights.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and support related initiatives.
- In consultation with the Manager, develop an annual work plan that outlines updates to process documentation.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Support internal and external audits.
Skills
- Post Secondary education accounting or business administration
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance and Accounting operational roles
- Previous cash management experience is an asset
- Knowledge of banking products and services
- Strong familiarity with general accounting principles
- Strong English communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain rapport effectively
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
