Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive full-cycle accounting experience, including independent responsibility for month-end close and financial statement preparation.
• CPA designation is preferred; candidates with substantial relevant experience may be considered.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, commerce, business administration, or related field is preferred.
• Experience supervising or coordinating the work of at least one accounting team member.
• Experience in a services-based, engineering, consulting, technology, or project-based business is strongly preferred.
• Advanced Excel capability, including complex formulas, lookups, pivot tables, financial models, and data analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools. Odoo experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage monthly close for Canadian and U.S. entities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and consolidation.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reporting packages.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial planning processes.
• Oversee project accounting, revenue recognition, and related reconciliations.
• Provide financial insight and strategic recommendations to executives and operational leaders.
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with Canadian and U.S. requirements.
