Job summary

Moodys Gartner in Calgary is seeking a dedicated accounting professional to support planning, execution and completion of Review and Compilation engagements, both independently and as part of a team. The role involves preparing personal, corporate and trust tax returns, collaborating with management on file planning, and delivering attentive service to clients within deadlines.

Qualifications

• Common Final Evaluation completed or near completion
• Strong technical experience in accounting and tax
• Understanding of CSRS 4200 (Compilation engagements), ASPE and CSRE 2400 (Review engagements)
• Experience with Caseware/Caseview, Keystone, TaxPrep, and QuickBooks an asset
• Able to communicate well with clients both verbally and in writing
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite and ability to grasp new technology tools
• Ability to execute on deliverables in a deadline-driven environment
• Results-oriented with a sense of urgency. Quick learner, self-starter and exudes a “can do” attitude
• Passion to learn and grow, and be an integral part of a high-performing team

• Successful completion of Common Final Evaluation (CFE), or near completion
• Strong technical experience in accounting and tax
• Understanding of CSRS 4200 (Compilation engagements), Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (“ASPE”) and CSRE 2400 (Review engagements)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
