CarboNet, a Vancouver-based water treatment company, is seeking a Senior Accountant to own month-end close and full-cycle accounting in a hybrid setup. You will have autonomy to structure your week while supporting fundraising and strategic planning with the leadership team.

Qualifications

• Strong technical accounting skills with month-end close experience.
• CPA designation or working toward it.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in a lean environment.
• Comfort with ambiguity and willingness to wear multiple hats.
• Interest in scaling with the company (growth potential)

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close process and financial statement preparation.
• Manage general ledger, account reconciliations, and accrual entries.
• Process payroll and coordinate with HR on compensation matters.
• Assist in the preparation of management, investor, and board reporting.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for growth.
• Build and document accounting procedures as we scale.
• Collaborate with external auditors and advisors.
