Job summary

Swim Recruiting is representing a CPA-strong accounting professional for a Manager, Accounting role in Coquitlam, BC. The position oversees AP/AR, invoicing, payroll, and month-end close within a growing, well-established Canadian organization.

The Manager will drive financial system optimization, enhance internal controls, and mentor a finance team. Hybrid work is available, with an initial in-office start to build relationships.

Qualifications

• CPA designation required and relevant accounting experience.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience leading AP/AR, billing and payroll.
• ERP/system experience and optimization knowledge.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in a project-driven environment, ideally industrial or construction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, invoicing and payroll processing.
• Own and manage the month-end close cycle and prepare financial statements.
• Review intercompany transactions and ensure timely reporting.
• Support system optimization and documentation updates.
• Strengthen internal controls and financial policies.
• Lead and mentor accounting personnel and cross-train in related areas.
• Assist with ERP implementation and process improvements.
