Job summary

CarboNet is seeking a Senior Accountant to own month-end close and full-cycle accounting in a Vancouver-based hybrid role. You will manage GL, reconciliations, accruals, payroll coordination, and produce management and board reports to support fundraising and strategic planning.

You will work closely with leadership to scale financial operations as the company grows, with autonomy to structure your week around team and business needs.

• CPA designation or working toward it.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in a lean environment.
• Comfort with ambiguity and willingness to wear multiple hats.

• Lead month-end close process and financial statement preparation
• Manage general ledger, account reconciliations, and accrual entries

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Accountant to own our month-end close and full-cycle accounting operations. This is a hybrid role with flexibility on in-office days - you'll have autonomy to structure your week around what works best for the team and the business.

As a small, growing company, you'll get genuine exposure to all aspects of our financial operations: GL management, reconciliations, accruals, reporting, and board-level support. You'll work closely with our leadership team to support fundraising and strategic planning.
