Job summary

Brookfield Renewable is seeking a Senior Accountant of Consolidations for a 12-month contract in Gatineau, QC. You will own consolidation processes, analyze variances, and support the monthly and quarterly close with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

The role requires 4+ years of full-cycle accounting, a Bachelor’s in Accounting, and strong IFRS/US GAAP awareness. CPA/CFE timing is a plus, with experience in OneStream and D365 ideal.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience in full-cycle accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• CPA designation or scheduled to take CFE within the next 12 months preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Strong time management and ability to multi-task.
• Familiarity with IFRS/US GAAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned consolidation processes and act as primary contact for stakeholders.
• Perform complex variance analysis and support the financial close.
• Collaborate with a team of accountants to improve the close process.
• Prepare/ analyze quarterly reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders.
• Set up/process intercompany eliminations and currency adjustments.
• Assist audit teams and support SOX/compliance initiatives.
