Job summary

Brookfield Renewable is seeking a Senior Accountant, Consolidations, to lead monthly close processes for the consolidated group and support financial reporting across portfolios. The role reports to the Manager, Consolidations/Financial Reporting, and requires strong analytical skills and a CPA designation.

On-site in Canada, you will collaborate with portfolio companies and corporate teams, ensuring accurate disclosures and timely feedback.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage with diverse teams and portfolio companies.
• CPA Canada or CPA US designation is required.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• Strong financial systems experience including advanced Excel.
• Knowledge of USGAAP.
• Experience with OneStream is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute the monthly consolidation and close process for Modal Power LLC.
• Prepare supporting schedules and analysis for financial statement disclosures and management reporting.
• Communicate regularly with portfolio companies and corporate departments on close activities.
• Review quarterly accounting reports from Modal Power LLC for consistency and accuracy; provide timely feedback.
• Assist in integrating new assets/acquisitions into the consolidated framework.
• Support external auditors with documentation requests.
• Identify issues and implement process improvements to streamline operations.
• Perform ad-hoc analyses and special projects as required.
