Job description

The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders, meeting reporting deadlines, and maintaining effective accounting controls and procedures. The role also involves providing support to the Assistant Controller as needed.

What you’ll be doing

1. Lead international transactions, including cross-company margin transfers and intercompany balance reconciliations.
2. Review journal entries and reconcile all G/L accounts regularly.
3. Manage daily bank and cash operations, prepare weekly cash flow projections, upload ACH and wire payments, and liaise with banks regarding inquiries.
4. Review and calculate rebates.
5. Review and approve new vendor setups and serve as the main contact with major vendors regarding credit limits.
6. Assist Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams as needed and provide guidance to team members.

What you have

2. Ability to perform under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
3. Flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment.
4. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

6. Legal authorization to work in Canada.
7. Knowledge of Great Plains and SAP is highly desirable.

10. Experience with service billings is an asset.
