Job description

We are looking for a high-performing senior accountant to join our growing firm. The successful candidate will be skilled in completing the tasks outlined below. This exciting new role offers ample growth opportunities for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

1. Connect with clients daily, gather information, and address any questions they may have.
2. Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions.
3. Produce error-free accounting reports and financial statements, and present their results.
4. Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
5. Prepare corporate and personal tax returns and advise on tax planning opportunities.
6. Analyze complex financial reports and records.
7. Assist with financial and tax audits.
8. Maintain confidentiality to protect the organization’s value.
9. Correspond with CRA and government agencies as required.
10. Collect and analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient resource use and procedures, provide strategic recommendations, and develop solutions to business and financial problems.
11. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and maintain the integrity of financial data.
12. Perform other projects as assigned.
