Job summary

Evlv in Montréal-Est is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the finance team reporting to the VP of Finance. You will manage full-cycle accounting for multiple entities, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support day-to-day accounting operations in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 8-10+ years of progressive accounting experience, CPA or equivalent, and proficiency with QuickBooks, Sage, Xero and Excel.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of progressive accounting experience required.
• CPA designation or equivalent experience considered an asset.
• Strong full-cycle accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Experience with multiple entities and intercompany transactions.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.

• Highly detail-oriented with excellent follow-through.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple entities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Perform bank, investment, intercompany, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledgers.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Prepare financial reports and analysis for the VP of Finance.
• Monitor internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Support year-end audits and tax filings.
• Coordinate with external accountants, tax advisors, and other professionals.
• Participate in various accounting and financial projects.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Montréal-Est. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing full-cycle accounting activities, financial reporting, and day-to-day accounting operations for multiple entities.

This is a hands-on senior-level position suited for an accounting professional who is highly organized, analytical, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do
