Pure Metal Galvanizing ULC in Ontario seeks an Accountant to support financial operations and reporting for its facilities. You will manage month-end close, GL reconciliations, inventory costing, and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
You will supervise AR/AP, prepare government remittances (HST, WSIB), maintain fixed assets, and analyze operations to improve efficiency. Strong Excel and ERP experience are required, along with the ability to work with plant and corporate teams.

A Brief Summary of This Position:
The primary responsibility of this position is to support the financial operations and reporting functions for Pure Metal Galvanizing’s Ontario facilities. Reporting to the Controller and working closely with plant management and corporate finance teams, the Accountant maintains accurate financial records, drives cost and inventory accounting processes, and supports operational decision-making in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities include executing month-end closing activities, managing general ledger account reconciliations, preparing government remittances (HST, WSIB), and analyzing operational data to support continuous improvement and financial efficiency across the plant network.

Working Environment and Physical Efforts:
Work is typically performed in an office setting. The incumbent is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, as well as talk and listen on the phone and in personal conversations or meetings. Environment is fast paced and demanding most of the time. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms while working in the office with various files and forms and while working on the computer. The employee is occasionally required to move about the office. Incumbent must utilize proper ergonomic safeguards such as monitor height and positions, keyboard location and height and proper wrists rests. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds in working with large files, binders, and computer equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
In addition to an office setting, the employee also spends time on the production floor as well as outside during all seasons of the year and in the manufacturing areas. The employee is expected to wear all necessary PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), as required. This position is exposed to all hazards located at manufacturing sites including noise, fumes, excessive heart and cold, dust, welding arc, all chemicals associated with manufacturing areas, fire, smoke, unstable debris, confined spaces, and working in high areas.
