Our client is looking to hire a Senior Accountant to join their team.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include:

• Completing the full month-end process
• Independently completing consolidation of subsidiaries and preparing financial statements in accordance with IFRS on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Preparing and presenting monthly balance sheet, income statement, and changes in financial position budget variance analysis
• Preparation of consolidation and elimination entries
• Working with and fully understanding large quantities of data and organizing it in a presentable manner
• Providing backup to the Controller as required
• Leading the monthly accounting close process and overall management of the General Ledger, including recording transactions, classifications, and reconciliations in accordance with company policy
• Obtaining and maintaining a thorough understanding of financial reporting and general ledger structure
• Preparing, reporting, and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated results under IFRS
• Collaborating with external auditors to provide requested information for audit completion
• Collaborating with external tax advisors for the preparation and timely filing of corporate tax returns
• Continuously evaluating workflow processes for accuracy and efficiency, and identifying opportunities for improvement
• Proposing recommendations for changes to accounting policies and procedures, and partnering with cross-functional teams to implement them
• Interacting with all levels of staff to understand and resolve issues related to top and bottom lines
• Participating in inventory management from a cost and accounting perspective
• Performing other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of financial accounting experience
• CPA designation or advanced standing
• Strong experience with ERP financial systems, including report generation
• Experience working in rapidly growing companies
• Analytical skills with an aptitude for dealing with numbers
