This position is ideal for a CPA (or CPA candidate) with public accounting experience who thrives on autonomy, enjoys structuring processes, and seeks a clear progression path toward leadership.

About the Role

Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will manage the preparation of full working papers, support accounting operations, and ensure accurate financial documentation across multiple projects. The role is highly autonomous, with defined priorities and deadlines, and provides exposure to senior leadership without micro‑management.

  • Prepare and review full working papers, ensuring accurate and organized documentation
  • Support the finance team in compiling accounting files for internal and external use
  • Collaborate with the Controller and VP of Finance on project accounting matters
  • Maintain schedules, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion of assigned accounting work
  • Utilize accounting software such as CaseWare and TaxPrep for compilation tasks
  • Support internal audits and other reporting requirements as needed
  • Contribute to process improvements and workflow efficiency within the accounting team
What You Bring
  • 2-4 years of public accounting experience, ideally with exposure to assurance or compilation work
  • CPA designation or in the process of completing CPA requirements
  • Experience in small firm or enterprise groups is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work autonomously
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment and reporting to a single senior leader
  • Exposure to real estate or home construction accounting is an asset but not required
  • Proficiency with accounting systems and working papers
Why Join

This role offers a high level of autonomy with minimal oversight and direct exposure to senior leadership, allowing you to manage your own workflow and take ownership of key initiatives. You'll have flexibility in how you structure your work once fully onboarded, supported by a well‑rounded benefits offering and ample time off. There is also a clear opportunity for long‑term growth and advancement within the organization.
