Job Title: Accountant

Job Type: Permanent position, Hybrid, 2 days on-site, Calgary Alberta

Job Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 / Year depending on experience.

Job Description

• Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare journal entries, maintain ledgers, and ensure all financial data is accurate and up to date.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process with accurate financial data and analysis.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Manage and reconcile sub-ledgers (e.g., fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals).
• Ensure compliance with relevant IFRS accounting standards and internal policies.
• Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
• File tax returns, GST, payroll remittances, and other statutory reports as required.
• Support process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.

Must Haves

• 2‑3+ years of general accounting, hands‑on transactional experience (AR, AP, bank recs, journal entries)
• Good attitude, rolls up sleeves, open to learning, and a team player
• Well versed with Excel
