Job summary

RECRUITMENT PARTNERS INC. client seeks a Senior Accountant to support financial reporting, full-cycle accounting, budgeting, compliance reporting, and financial analysis across real estate units.

The position requires 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong full-cycle accounting and financial reporting capabilities, and proficiency with Yardi Voyager. CPA designation is an asset, and exceptional Excel skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience within a medium to large organization.
• Strong full-cycle accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Property management accounting experience and ideally proficiency with Yardi Voyager.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• CPA designation is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and consistent general ledgers across multiple business units
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses
• Manage full-cycle accounting responsibilities, including month-end close processes
• Prepare and file GST returns, including self-assessments and rebate claims
• Assist with budgeting activities and analyze actual results against budget expectations
• Investigate financial variances and identify potential operational or accounting issues
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for senior leadership
• Contribute to process improvements and support special projects within the finance department
