Location : Burnaby, BC

Expected Salary Range : $70,000 – 90,000 per year

Responsibilities :

• Handle daily full-cycle accounting deliverables and other financial functions of the organization
• Maintain general ledger, monthly journal entries, and generate financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Manage incoming payments via various methods, and maintain monthly accrual schedules
• Review and ensure accuracy of ledgers, banking records and reconciliations for the company and client accounts, in adherence to compliance standards
• Support the Controller with month, quarter, and year-end closings and audit-related tasks – including tax related deliverables
• Generate various reports for management review - including monthly financial statements, analyses, budgets, and year-end information
• Serve as a key liaison between accounting and other internal departments
• Provide coverage for AP and Payroll functions when needed
• Assist with additional special projects, as required by Management

Requirements :

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting or Finance
• Canadian CPA designation or nearing completion is an asset
• Minimum of 3+ years experience in full-cycle accounting is required
• Industry experience in manufacturing and working with USD currency is desirable
• Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite and Advanced Excel skills
• Hands-on experience with accounting, payroll and ERP systems
• Solid understanding of accounting principles with strong analytical, planning, and forecasting abilities
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Exceptional ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple detail-oriented tasks with competing deadlines
• Have a strong capability to work independently and collaboratively with sound business judgment
