Job summary

National Bank of Canada seeks a Senior Account Manager, Restructuring within the Commercial High Risk Loan Management Unit to act as a restructuring expert for a commercial financing portfolio. Your client service, negotiation, and risk management skills will help reduce credit losses and improve the client experience.

You will assess risk, develop strategies for defaulted loans, support clients back to profitability, communicate with stakeholders, and monitor portfolio quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7–10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience as Agribusiness/Commercial Account Manager or in Commercial credit risk management is required.
• Mastery of Commercial products, guarantees and processes.

Responsibilities

• Assess risk and develop restructuring strategies for defaulted/deteriorating loans and make credit recommendations.
• Support and supervise clients to restore profitability.
• Maintain effective communications and negotiate terms with stakeholders.
• Monitor the portfolio to maintain quality.
• Act as an expert with different sectors of the Bank.
• Promote a win-win client approach.
