In this senior, client-facing role, you will combine hands-on business development with account management and team leadership to expand market presence and deliver high-value talent solutions. You will manage existing relationships, reactivate dormant accounts, and secure new business opportunities while coaching a small team of sales professionals. Working closely with recruitment and delivery teams, you will ensure clients receive exceptional service and access to top technology talent. You will also contribute to strategic growth initiatives, including potential expansion into new markets and service offerings. This opportunity is ideal for a commercially driven leader who enjoys building relationships, winning new business, and shaping the future of a collaborative, entrepreneurial team.

Accountabilities
  • Collaborate with the Director of IT Services to develop and execute business growth initiatives and support the division's continued expansion.
  • Lead, coach, and support one or two direct reports while maintaining individual business development and account growth targets.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across public and private sector markets through consultative selling.
  • Re-engage former clients, strengthen relationships with warm prospects, and convert dormant accounts into active revenue-generating partnerships.
  • Generate and qualify job orders while maintaining a healthy sales pipeline across strategic target accounts.
  • Develop and maintain strategic account plans, organizational charts, stakeholder maps, pipeline activity, and client intelligence within CRM systems.
  • Conduct regular sales calls and meetings, both virtually and in person, to engage prospective clients and develop existing accounts.
  • Promote technology talent and staffing solutions by demonstrating the team's expertise, delivery capabilities, and value proposition.
  • Manage existing Master Service Agreements (MSAs), client contracts, and service commitments to ensure contractual obligations are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and introduce clients to complementary services through a consultative, solution-oriented approach.
  • Lead discovery meetings, client presentations, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and strategic account planning sessions to understand workforce needs and uncover growth opportunities.
  • Support the timely and professional resolution of client and candidate escalations, including service issues, workplace matters, health and safety concerns, and human rights-related matters.
  • Partner with recruitment leadership and delivery teams to develop effective search strategies, deliver high-quality service, and connect clients with qualified technology professionals.
  • Facilitate job intake meetings, qualification calls, debriefs, and interview preparation activities to maintain recruitment quality and service excellence.
  • Present candidates effectively by communicating their experience, qualifications, and suitability for client requirements.
  • Support candidate validation and onboarding, including reference checks, background screening, employment documentation, compliance, and contract administration where required.
  • Champion a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across the team.
  • Contribute to future growth strategies, including expansion into new geographic markets and service offerings.
  • Strengthen market visibility and professional relationships through LinkedIn engagement, networking, industry events, community involvement, and thought leadership.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in IT staffing, professional services, recruitment, or consultative B2B sales.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, account management, and revenue generation within staffing, talent solutions, or technology services.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or coaching colleagues in sales or client-facing environments.
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, including the ability to engage senior stakeholders in technology, procurement, and human resources.
  • Proven experience negotiating contracts, service agreements, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to use market intelligence and industry trends to identify business opportunities.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles and developing strategic account growth plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with strong presentation, relationship management, and consultative selling abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales pipeline management best practices.
  • Ability to balance strategic leadership responsibilities with hands-on client engagement and individual sales targets.
