Job Description: In this key role, you will oversee a state-of-the-art healthcare Control Centre. Your role will be to monitor numerous systems including fire and life safety, access control, and CCTV. You will assist in tracking and deployment of security staff and handle a variety of dispatch duties including incident call taking. Will report directly into the Dispatch Team Lead.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Provides leadership, direction, and ongoing coaching and training.
2. Ensures all standing orders and scheduled daily activities are carried out as required for each shift.
3. Ensures site staff adhere to all Paladin Security and hospital security policies and procedures.
4. Plans and implements shift work schedules.
5. Ensures all Security Guards have received the mandatory training.
6. Motivates staff and issues commendations.
7. Disciplines staff when necessary and ensures proper documentation is passed onto head office.
8. Attendance Management.
9. Performs security audits.
10. Documents and investigates security incidents and complaints.
11. Communicates any concerns/issues with Client Service Manager.

Requirements:

1. At least one year of security experience in a team lead role preferred.
2. Post-secondary education in a law enforcement/security program from a recognized college is preferred.
3. Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health Act.
4. Superior written and verbal communication skills.
5. Demonstrated punctuality and reliability, tact, and diplomacy.
6. International Association of Healthcare Security Services (IAHSS) certificate would be an asset.
7. Valid Ontario Security License.
8. Immunization Record including MMR, Varicella, and 2 TB tests.
9. First Aid & CPR Level C.
10. Vaccination Status.
