Job summary

Convergint is seeking a Security Technician - Service Specialist in Edmonton, AB. You will provide customer and technical support for installed Fire, Security, and Building Automation Systems, handle service calls, and perform maintenance and small projects.

You’ll troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair systems, create service reports for invoicing, and mentor less experienced staff while adhering to safety policies and company standards.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Solid technical skills related to building automation, fire alarm and electronic security systems.
• Solid programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems.
• Minimum of two years of field service experience.

Responsibilities

• Responds to service calls including emergency and scheduled maintenance.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and service a variety of systems.
• Complete accurate service reports for invoicing and cost tracking.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced staff.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products, services and policies.
• Promote Convergint as the customer’s first choice for service.
