Job summary

Commissionaires BC seeks a Security Supervisor for the DFO Cultus Lake site. The role includes interior and exterior patrols, access control, and emergency response, with a Monday–Friday 16:00– midnight rotation and CAD 25.61/hour pay.

The position requires a BC Security License, a Public Works Reliability clearance, and residence in Canada for at least five years, plus OFA 1 certification and strong English skills. Training and uniforms are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job description

Commissionaires BC is looking for a Security Supervisor for our DFO Cultus Lake site.
Rotation: Monday to Friday, 1600 - Midnight
Payrate: $25.61 per hour
This site requires you to obtain a Public Works Reliability clearance, and to qualify you must have resided in Canada for the past 5 or more years

Some of your responsibilities include:

• Interior and exterior patrols
• Access Control and visitor verification
• Responding to potential protesters or media
• Monitoring all incoming mail/deliveries
• First responder in building emergencies such as evacuations and medical emergencies
• Following specific emergency and alarm response protocols
• Maintain up-to-date Post Orders and Site Safety, Risk, and Quality Assurance assessments
• Submit reports,time sheets, and staff evaluations as per deadlines
• Oversee trainingand scheduling of Commissionaires
• Leading through empowerment, and monitoring staffmorale, discipline, and progress
• Ensure team maintainsa professionalstandard ofconduct,dress and deportment
• Liaise with the client to ensure their instructions are carried out as per written policy
• Contacting management in situations not covered by Post Orders

Your Must Haves:

• Valid BC Security License
• Have lived in Canada for a minimum of 5 years due to clearance requirements
• OFA 1 certificate
• Excellent English speaking and written skills
• Previous supervisory experience would be considered an asset
