Job summary

Convergint is seeking a Security Solutions Estimator to join our team as a full-time, results-driven professional. You will prepare accurate cost estimates for large-scale RFPs, greenfield projects, and complex scopes, bridging entry-level estimators with senior design and estimating specialists.

You’ll collaborate with sales, engineering, procurement, and project management to ensure estimates reflect costs, resources, and timelines while staying current with industry standards and pricing.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of estimating, project management, or system design experience in electronic physical security.
• Experience with large-scale RFPs, greenfield opportunities, and programmatic projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, specifications, and technical scopes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates for large-scale RFPs, greenfield projects, and complex scopes.
• Bridge the gap between entry-level estimators and senior design and estimating professionals.
• Analyze project requirements, specifications and technical documents to understand scope, risks, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, procurement, and project management to ensure estimates reflect costs, resources, and timelines.
• Evaluate scopes, interpret blueprints, analyze costs, and influence pricing and feasibility.
• Participate in site walks, pre-bid meetings, and technical discussions to assess project needs.
• Complete accurate bill of materials for vendors, subcontractors, and partners.
• Identify scope gaps and value engineering opportunities to improve outcomes.
• Coordinate with installation teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy of estimates.
• Stay updated on regulations, industry standards, and pricing.
• Prepare and present proposals to customers.
• Perform other duties as needed.
