Job summary

Partner Company is seeking a Security Software Engineer based in Canada to embed security expertise within software engineering teams and influence product design, development, testing, and maintenance.

You will combine software engineering with proactive security practices across the full lifecycle, including threat modeling, static analysis, fuzzing, and vulnerability response. Collaborate with open source communities and uphold security standards.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in CS, STEM or equivalent.
• Strong academic performance and history of exceeding expectations.
• Solid knowledge of common software security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques.
• Experience driving security initiatives across engineering teams.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language from the listed options.

Responsibilities

• Define, implement, test, and document security features across software products.
• Lead security-focused initiatives within product engineering teams and promote secure SDLC practices.
• Analyze, reproduce, remediate, and test vulnerabilities affecting open source software and Linux-based systems.
• Conduct source code audits and security analyses to identify vulnerabilities and remediation strategies.
• Apply security engineering techniques including threat modeling and architecture reviews.
