Job summary

Allied Universal Security Services in Hamilton, Ontario invites applications for a Security Site Supervisor at a shelter. You will oversee daily security operations, supervise officers, manage access control, and respond to incidents to maintain a safe environment for residents and staff.

The role requires a valid Ontario Security Guard Licence, supervisory experience, strong communication and leadership, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.

• Respond to security incidents, emergencies and disturbances professionally.
• Apply de-escalation techniques when dealing with challenging situations.
• Complete accurate incident and occurrence reports and documentation.
• Conduct shift briefings and communicate important information to the team.
• Liaise professionally with site management, staff, residents, visitors and responders.
• Ensure all site post orders and security procedures are followed.

Security Site Supervisor - Shelter

Location: Hamilton, ON
Pay Rate: $22.00 - $23.46 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Position: Site Supervisor

Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Security Site Supervisor to oversee daily security operations at a shelter facility in Hamilton. The successful candidate will supervise security personnel, maintain a safe and secure environment, monitor site access and respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies.

This role requires a strong security background, excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with challenging situations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and provide direction to the security team during assigned shifts.
• Ensure security officers are properly deployed and completing their assigned duties.
• Conduct regular patrols and security inspections of the site and perimeter.
• Monitor and control access to the facility and ensure only authorized individuals enter the site.
• Respond to security incidents, emergencies and disturbances in a professional manner.
• Apply de-escalation techniques when dealing with challenging situations.
• Complete accurate incident reports, occurrence reports and other required documentation.
• Conduct shift briefings and communicate important information to the security team.
• Liaise professionally with site management, staff, residents, visitors and emergency responders.
• Ensure all site post orders, policies and security procedures are followed.

What We're Looking For:

• Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
• Previous security supervisory experience required.
• Strong communication, leadership and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours per week.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid First Aid & CPR certification is an asset.
• Must successfully complete a background check as a condition of employment.
