Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Professional - Overnight Mobile Guard in Brampton, ON to patrol and secure shelter sites, deter threats, and ensure the safety of staff, residents, and the community.

This full-time overnight shift runs Sunday to Saturday, 6:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a pay rate of $19.40 per hour. Candidates must have a G license, clean driving abstract, be at least 25, and possess an Ontario Security License plus First Aid/CPR.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of mobile security experience in shelter or environments with vulnerable individuals.
• Valid Ontario Security License.
• Must be at least 25 years old for insurance purposes.
• Valid G license and clean driving abstract.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours per week.
• First Aid and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Site patrolling: conduct regular mobile patrols around the exterior of the shelter.
• Physical security: maintain a visible presence to protect staff, residents, and the area.
• Incident reporting: document incidents with details for reference and analysis.
• Threat assessment: evaluate risks and recommend appropriate responses.
• Professional communication: communicate clearly via email with team members and stakeholders.
• Emergency response: act swiftly and coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services.

Overview

We are seeking responsible and reliable individuals to join our team as Security Professional - Overnight Mobile Guardat one of our shelter sites in Brampton, ON. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting mobile patrols outside homeless shelter to ensure the safety and security of the premises. You will be the first line of defense in deterring unwanted individuals from the area and maintaining a safe environment for staff, residents, and the community.

Responsibilities

• Site Patrolling: Conduct regular mobile patrols around the exterior of the shelter to monitor any security threats, disturbances, or unusual activities.
• Physical Security: Maintain a visible presence to ensure the safety of shelter staff, residents, and the surrounding area.
• Incident Reporting: Document and report incidents accurately, ensuring all relevant details are captured for future reference and analysis.
• Threat Assessment: Evaluate situations to determine the level of risk and recommend appropriate responses.
• Professional Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication through email correspondence with team members and other stakeholders.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to security across all operations.
• Emergency Response: Act swiftly in emergency situations, coordinating with law enforcement and emergency services as necessary.
• Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of incidents, inspections, and other relevant documentation for compliance and review.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience working in Mobile security in a Shelter, Hospital, or any environment with vulnerable individuals
• Must have a valid Ontario Security License.
• Must be at least 25 years old or above for insurance purposes
• Must have valid G license and clean driving abstract
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
• Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week.
