Job summary

Allied Universal in Sudbury, Ontario seeks Professional Security Guards to join a full-time team. The role covers monitoring, incident response, and coordination of security operations across multiple platforms. Applicants must hold a provincial license, First Aid/CPR, and be able to work 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Valid Provincial Security Guard Licence.
• Valid First Aid & CPR certificate.
• Ability to work in Canada for a minimum of 40 hours a week.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written).
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and other security systems.
• Receive, assess, prioritize, and respond to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations.
• Dispatch security personnel and coordinate responses as required.
• Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and operational records.
• Communicate professionally and effectively in both English and French with security personnel, site management, government representatives, and emergency responders.
• Escalate incidents in accordance with established SOPs.
• Monitor and report security threats, operational disruptions, and critical incidents.
• Conduct investigations and gather relevant information for incident reporting.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive government and operational information.
• Support emergency management and business continuity activities when required.
