Job summary

Allied Universal in Timmins, Ontario is seeking a Security Professional - Lead Hand to safeguard facilities, administer access control, and respond to incidents promptly.

Qualified candidates hold Ontario Security Guard license and G-class driving license, with First Aid/CPR. Must be 18+, ready for 5 AM–5 PM or 5 PM–5 AM shifts, and capable of detailed report writing and CCTV operation.

Qualifications

• Ontario security guard license is required.
• G-class driving license is required.
• Clear driver’s abstract is required.
• Eligible to work in Canada for 40 hours per week.
• First Aid and CPR certification required; Advanced First Aid preferred.
• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED.

Responsibilities

• Access control for the facility/area.
• Present a polished, professional image at all times.
• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and deescalate.
• Patrolling and following post orders (indoor/outdoor).
• Ensure safety procedures are followed during emergencies.
• Undertake site-specific training and follow directions from Site Supervisor.
• Demonstrate good judgment and leadership in emergencies.
• Meticulous record keeping and report writing.
• Operate security room equipment (CCTV, radios, etc.).
• Perform in-car/vehicle patrols.

Allied Universal is seeking Professional Security Guards in Timmins, Ontario.

Job Title: Security Professional - Lead Hand

Job Location: Timmins, ON

Job Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.83 per hour

Shifts: Monday - Sunday, Rotational shifts - 5 AM - 5 PM and 5PM - 5AM (full availability is required)

Requirement:

• Ontario security guard license and Ontario G-class Driving License.
• Clear driver's abstract is required.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada for 40 hours per week.
• First Aid and CPR certification are required; candidates with Advanced First Aid certification will be given priority consideration.
• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm .
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience

Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions:

• Access control for the facility/area
• Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times
• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate
• Patrolling and following protocols as per the post orders, which may include indoor or outdoor patrols, etc.
• Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies
• Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager
• Demonstrate goodjudgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Operate/monitor security room equipment including but not limited to computers, CCTV cameras, radio, etc.
• Perform in-car/vehicle patrols
