Job summary

Moose Cree First Nation Security Team conducts regular patrols to deter crime and safeguard community assets, maintaining a visible presence and promptly responding to incidents. Personnel report suspicious activity and help uphold a safe environment for residents and visitors.

The team emphasizes confidentiality, cultural awareness, and adherence to health and safety standards while supporting a secure Moose Factory community.

Qualifications

• Security Guard Licence or willing to be trained.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• G driver's license required.
• CPIC with Vulnerable Sector check required (at applicant’s expense).
• Strong leadership and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of Cree language is an asset.
• Understand and follow health and safety standards.
• Experience in security or peacekeeping preferred.
• Cultural awareness of Moose Cree First Nation environment.

Position Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Drug Task Force, the Moose Cree First Nation Security Team shall assist with regular community patrols to deter crime and protect property and community assets. The MCFN Security personnel shall maintain a visible presence, respond to incidents as directed, report suspicious or criminal activity, and help ensure a safe and secure environment for community members.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Security Guard Licence, or related training or willing to be trained.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Security or Peacekeeper experience or related field preferred.
• Willingness to follow the precautionary safety guidelines always.
• Must follow and adhere to the health and safety standards of the organization.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to work under minimum supervision and within a team framework.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Must maintain strict confidentiality.
• Strong written and communication skills.
• Good physical condition and endurance.
• First Aid/CPR.
• Shall have a thorough understanding of the cultural environment in which they serve.
• The ability to speak Cree is an asset.
• Must provide a CPIC with vulnerable person sector at applicant’s own expense.
• Must have class “G” Driver’s license.
