Job summary

Fairmont Empress in Victoria, BC is seeking a Security Attendant to help maintain a safe environment for guests and colleagues. You will greet visitors, monitor CCTV, respond to incidents, and support hotel operations with a visible security presence.

The role requires BST Security License, First Aid Intermediate 2, and fluent English. Availability for all shifts, including evenings, overnights, and weekends, is essential. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer service related position.
• BST certificate and Valid BC Security License or willingness to obtain a Security License.
• First Aid Intermediate 2.
• Bondable.
• Completely fluent English language skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be available for all shifts including evenings, overnight shifts and weekends.
• Clear, professional and helpful communication in person and over the phone.
• Team player with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• A high level of responsibility and ability to work well independently with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to provide excellent service and exceed guests' expectations.
• Impeccable grooming and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of the hotel, guests and employees.
• Greet guests and visitors, respond to inquiries and provide information.
• Research and report any incidents in accordance with standards of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts.
• Perform interior and exterior patrols of hotel property and be a visible security presence while on duty.
• Monitor CCTV camera system.
• Act as First Aid Attendant and respond to all first aid calls while on duty.
• Maintain effective relationships with Municipal, Federal or Corporate security/police forces.
• Other duties as assigned.
