Job summary

Fairmont Empress, Victoria, BC, is seeking a Spa Specialist to deliver nail, facial and cosmetic services in a luxury hotel setting. You will maintain hygiene, manage product inventories and assist guests with hotel facilities.

The role offers an hourly wage of CAD 18.75, benefits, and opportunities for professional growth within Accor's global portfolio. Aesthetics certification and current licenses are required.

Qualifications

• Spa experience preferred.
• Certification from an accredited school of Aesthetics required.
• All professional licenses must be current.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
• Highly responsible & reliable.
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
• Ability to focus on guest needs and remain calm and courteous.

Responsibilities

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
• Perform nail and cosmetic services in a safe, comfortable, and hygienic manner.
• Perform facials on guests using safe and professional techniques.
• Maintain an ample inventory of all products necessary to perform all facial, manicure and pedicure services.
• Sell and restock professional all retail products.
• Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and of all equipment used.
• Book and schedule appointments as required.
• Follow departmental policies and procedures.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you will be doing:

Additional Information

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

• Frequent standing and walking

• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps

Visa Requirements:

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
