Job summary

Scarborough Health Network is seeking an experienced locksmith to install, repair, and manage locks, cylinders, and access control across its facilities. You will support master key systems and emergency repairs, working with security staff to ensure safety and compliance.

Responsibilities include evaluating blueprints, coordinating with contractors for electronic access equipment, and maintaining an inventory of locks and keys.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed TAOL 1 & 2 apprenticeship (8000 hours).
• Certified Locksmith 259L; Ontario driver license preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics for lock installations.
• Strong problem solving, organization, and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient computer skills including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, rebuild and replace locks and cylinders across buildings.
• Maintain master key systems; document changes and reload cylinders as needed.
• Assist in projects by evaluating hardware specs from blueprints and plans.
• Work with outside contractors on electronic access equipment and door hardware.
• Keep stock of locksmith supplies; maintain secure storage and log key numbers.
