Job summary

Securitas Canada Limited is seeking active permanent Security Officers for Milton, Ontario. The role involves patrolling, responding to emergencies, monitoring CCTV and enforcing access control to protect people and property.

Duties include reporting to the Security Shift Supervisor, operating dispatch and alarm systems, conducting incident reports, and performing fire watch and atmospheric monitoring as required. Valid Ontario Security License and First Aid/CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Ontario Security License is required.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Minimum 1 year of Supervisor experience.
• G Class Driver's License with clean driving record.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience monitoring CCTV and using 2-way radios.
• Scheduling experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reports operationally to the Security Shift Supervisor.
• Respond to emergencies including fires and medical calls.
• Patrol interior and exterior of the facility.
• Dispatch and monitor for internal/external emergency services.
• Enforce visitor protocol and access control.
• Utilize CCTV system.
• Implement site Emergency Response Plan as required.
• Prepare incident reports and daily activity log.
• Atmospheric monitoring for confined space permits as required.
• Perform fire watch duties as required.

Position Overview:

Wages: $18.75/hr

Shift timings: Various

Location: Milton, Ontario.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reports operationally to the Security Shift Supervisor.
• Respond to emergencies including but not limited to fires, hazardous material events, medicals and other calls for assistance.
• Patrols interior and exterior of entire facility.
• Main dispatch and system monitoring for internal and external emergency services.
• Responsible for enforcing visitor protocol and access control for the site.
• Utilize CCTV system.
• Implement site Emergency Response Plan as required.
• Incident Report writing and keep daily activity log.
• Atmospheric Monitoring for Confined Space Entry Permits as required.
• Perform fire watch duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS: ****

• Valid Ontario Security License.
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Certificate or be willing to obtain.
• Thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures including emergency response and minimum of 1 year of Supervisor experience.
• G Class Drivers License is required with Clean Driver’s abstract.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Tech savvy with experience monitoring CCTV cameras and using 2-way radios.
• Scheduling experience is preferred.
