Job summary

Securitas Canada is hiring a Security Officer for our Milton, Ontario site. The role involves patrolling the facility, monitoring CCTV, dispatching emergency responses, and enforcing visitor access protocols.

Must hold a valid Ontario Security License and First Aid/CPR certification, with strong communication skills and experience in security operations. Shifts are varied to cover different times, and the position offers permanent employment with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario Security License.
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Certificate or willing to obtain.
• Thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures including emergency response and minimum of 1 year of Supervisor experience.
• G Class Driver's License is required with Clean Driver’s abstract.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Tech savvy with experience monitoring CCTV cameras and using 2-way radios.
• Scheduling experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reports operationally to the Security Shift Supervisor.
• Respond to emergencies including fires, hazardous material events, medicals and other calls for assistance.
• Patrols interior and exterior of entire facility.
• Main dispatch and system monitoring for internal and external emergency services.
• Responsible for enforcing visitor protocol and access control for the site.
• Utilize CCTV system.
• Implement site Emergency Response Plan as required.
• Incident Report writing and keep daily activity log.
• Atmospheric Monitoring for Confined Space Entry Permits as required.
• Perform fire watch duties as required.

Position Overview:

Wages: $18.75/hr

Location: Milton, Ontario.
