Allied Universal is seeking a Tactical Security Guard to join our Security Operations team at a high-profile site located in Downtown Winnipeg, Manitoba. Location: Winnipeg, MB; Employment Type: Full time; Pay Rate: $19 per hour; Schedule: Monday through Sunday; Shift Time: 0630 - 1830 hours.

Number of positions: 2. The successful candidate will provide a highly visible security presence while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for tenants, customers, employees, and visitors.

Qualifications

• Valid Manitoba Security Guard License.
• First Aid/CPR Certification (required).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong observation, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in conflict de-escalation and maintaining professionalism in high-pressure situations.
• Experience conducting foot patrols, responding to incidents, and completing detailed incident reports.
• Knowledge of trespass enforcement, access control, and emergency response procedures.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with tenants, visitors, and the public.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer skills and experience using report-writing software.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, occasionally climb stairs, and lift or carry up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Experience working at high-profile commercial, residential, retail, or mixed-use properties.
• Experience with access control systems, CCTV monitoring, and incident management.
• Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
• Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of the property.
• Maintain a visible security presence to deter unauthorized activity, theft, vandalism, and other security concerns.
• Monitor CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and other security technologies.
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and calls for service.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to tenants, residents, visitors, and contractors.
• Enforce property rules, regulations, and site-specific procedures.
• Assist with access control and visitor management as required.
• Investigate and document incidents, accidents, and unusual occurrences.
• Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, and security vulnerabilities.
• Support emergency response procedures and coordinate with emergency services when required.
• Complete accurate reports, logs, and electronic documentation in a timely manner.
• Work collaboratively with property management and other stakeholders to maintain a safe and professional environment.
