Job summary

Commissionaires BC is seeking a security guard to work at the City of Richmond site for a 4-month temporary full-time or casual position. Shifts are nights, Monday to Friday and weekends, 2200–0600.

You will ensure safety by patrolling, monitoring access, and responding to incidents. Must hold a BC Security Licence and a First Aid Certificate; a Class 5 Driver's Licence is preferred. Competitive pay and benefits apply.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer questions, and provide solutions as a liaison between the site and the public.
• Maintain a clean, safe site environment.
• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled security patrols and checkpoint tours.
• Follow emergency and alarm response protocols.
• Perform facility lockup and unlock services.
• Conduct site checks and inspections.
• Monitor and supervise City facilities and property.
• Control access and verify visitors.
• Provide security support for City events.
• Perform other security duties as requested.

Job description

Commissionaires BC is currently looking for a security guard to work at our City of Richmond site for a 4-month temporary full time or casual position.

Position days and hours:

• Monday to Friday 2200 - 0600
• Saturday & Sunday 2200 - 0600

Payrate:

$25.55/hr

Some of your responsibilities include:

• Provides excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and providing solutions by acting as a liaison between the site and the general public.
• Keep site clean, tidy and a safe environment for all.
• Conducting scheduled and unscheduled security patrols, including checkpoint tours.
• Following specific emergency and alarm response protocols.
• Performing facility lockup and unlock services
• Conducting site checks and inspections
• Monitoring and supervising City facilities and property
• Access control and visitor verification.
• Providing security support for City events.
• Performing other security related duties as requested.

Your Must – Haves …

• Valid BC Security Licence
• Basic First Aid Certificate
