Job summary

Commissionaires BC is seeking a security professional to join our team in Kelowna, BC. You will manage front desk security, control access, escort visitors, and perform routine patrols of the facility. Strong customer service and situational awareness are essential.

This role requires RCMP Reliability Clearance, with a potential waiting period of up to six months. Candidates must meet licensing, first aid, and language requirements and be prepared to engage through the clearance process.

Qualifications

• First Aid (OFA 1) certificate required.
• Willing to go through RCMP clearance process.

Job description

Position hours:

• Full time Monday to Friday 4pm till midnight or midnight to 8am
• Part time weekends Saturday and Sunday 8am till 4pm, 4pm till midnight, midnight to 8am

Wage:

$22.97 per hour

Please be aware that this role requires an RCMP Reliability Clearance, which can take up to six months to obtain. We ask that only candidates who are prepared to remain engaged throughout the clearance process and associated waiting period submit an application.

Some of your responsibilities include:

• Static front desk security control/access control
• Escorting site visitors
• Perform regular exterior and interior building patrols
• General administration duties
• Report all incidences to the Site Supervisor and provide investigation report.

Your Must-Haves:

• A valid BC Security License
• A valid Basic First Aid (OFA 1) certificate
• Have resided in Canada for 5+ years and be a resident or PR for clearance purposes
• Willing to go through RCMP clearance process
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills
• Fluent English written, verbal and reading skills
• Excellent customer service skills
