Job summary

Commissionaires BC is seeking a security professional to work full time at a hotel in New Westminster. Scheduling includes Saturday and Sunday 2300–0700, plus Monday to Wednesday 2230–0630. Wage is $23.00/hour.

You will perform patrols, monitor CCTV and alarms, control access, and ensure safety. Must hold a BC Security License and fluent English; OFA 1, Class 5 license, and Canada residency are nice-to-haves.

Qualifications

• BC Security License required.
• Fluent English (written, verbal, reading).
• First Aid (OFA 1) is a nice-to-have.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to clients and site users.
• Perform regular exterior and interior patrols, including door lockups.
• Equipment alarm response and monitoring.
• Provide access control per site regulations, including issuing access cards.
• CCTV monitoring and incident reporting.
• Maintain a safe environment for all personnel and the public.
• Investigate security incidents and escalate as needed.

Job description

Wage: $23.00/hour

Some of your responsibilities include:

• Provide superior customer service to our client and site users
• Perform regular exterior and interior patrols, including door lockups
• Equipment alarm response and monitoring
• Provide access control as per site regulations, including issuing of access cards
• CCTV monitoring
• Site removal of unauthorized individuals
• Investigate security incidents, escalating as necessary
• Maintains a safe environment for all personnel and the public
• Report all incidences to the Client Services Manager and provide investigation report(s)

Your Must-Haves:

• BC Security License
• Fluent English written, verbal and reading skills

Your Nice-To-Haves:

• Hold Basic First Aid (OFA 1)
• Class 5 drivers license
• You have resided in Canada for the last five years(for clearance purposes)
